New Best Burger in Denver

Juicy Burger-6830 S. Yosimite Centennial

Well it's been a very slow summer for me and the Mrs. but we did  check out a new Burger  Joint today....Being the Burger Junkie I am, I got to say this  is the best Burger in Denver I have found yet.
I'm not one of these guys who gets impressed by fancy schmancy burgers  that are  a 1/4 lb patty hidden at the bottom of a 6 inch pile of exotic ingredients.  While it's interesting at times to check those places out, they do nothing for me...When I want a Burger I want  No Frills  straight up and down Burger Medium rare with Lots of mayo, ketchup, pickles ,grilled onions mustard and  gooey melted cheese...if you gotta get exotic throw some bacon  and mushrooms on it but that's it.  Juicy Burger is just a little Burger joint they Charbroil the Burgers and  man that Burger from the first bite is just Awesome!!!  They serve great Vienna Beef Hotdogs as well again nothing super fancy.  The Burgers are just no frills  the only criticism I have is they do offer a lamb burger but they don't serve it with Feta Cheese(I know it's a little fancy but it's lamb!!!)  Great sides the Onion Rings are the thin kind  which I prefer  and  the Fries are good and if you get the cheese fries you get enough cheese you have to use a Fork!!!!  Great Shakes and Malts made with Hagen das Ice Cream....They also serve a Carbonated Beverage (POP) that only a Motor City Boy can Appreciate...The Best Ginger Ale ever made Vernors...Prices are extremely reasonable...Check it out you'll be back!!!

It's Finally Here!!!!

Biker Jim's Gourmet Dogs  (The Restaurant) 2148 Larimer Denver
Congratulations to Jim and his crew for not only bringing a place where you can eat one of his tasty brats in the middle of winter and NOT have to freeze your ass off!!!!  For those of you that know of Jim's Carts on 16th and Arapahoe and Auraria Campus...all your Favorite Street Dogs are there...But the Specialty dogs are just Killer...There are so many choices the Misses and I are probably going to be spending all weekend dining there...Seriously there are too many choices  to choose  the most interesting one is probably the Wiener Wellington, a ribeye steak brat smothered in grainy Dijon , coated with a Mushroom Duxelle, wrapped in house made Puff pastry and served with Bordelais...It was soooo good I didn't get to order it last night because they had ran out!11  Hoping to get a hold of one tonight  for round 2...The Duck Dog and the Yak Dog were  good second choices...Great sides ...Fried green Tomatoes and Fried mac and Cheese to name just two...We didn't  save room for desert last night  again that'll be Round 2...But Cheesecake,  Light  and Dark Chocolate mousse in a cup and the Chipolte brownie/cinnamon ice cream sandwich ...sound interesting not to mention a couple milk shakes and something called  a Jitter Shake....Oh yeah two burgers the High Mountain Burger is ayak Burger  dressed with Bacon Red Onion marmalade topped with stiton Blue Cheese, garlic aioli sliced tomatoes and mixed greens or the  Off the Street Burger all natural beef burger served on a buttered toasted bun with garlic aioli, seared poblanos, fried green tomatoes french fried onions and topped with a basted egg (pass the defibrillator please)....Prices are very reasonable and the  motorcycle tire skid marks on the floor are a nice touch...Jim said that when he opened this place people were  gonna be knocked out by the menu....He wasn't kiddin'....On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 12!!!!

Best Breakfast Ever!!!!!

Snooze- 700 Colorado Blvd Denver
The Mrs and I have been checking out different Breakfast places on Sunday Morning this is the best....Be aware you may have to wait for an hour  but trust me it's Well worth the  wait....They have some of the best Pancakes anywhere...I can totally recommend the Red Velvet Pancake and the  Graceland...Also the Duck Duck Benny and the Breakfast Pot Pie...Breakfast was never so good

Proper Fish and Chips

GB Fish and Chips-1311 South Broadway

Nice little Fish and Chips Stand...Great batter doesn't overpower the Fish...I recommend the Combo Dinner you get plenty to eat and a little bit of Squid, Cod, Talapia, scallops, and shrimp...everything but the Oysters...Also it does this  ex Michigander's heart good to find a decent Pastie in this town....They  lose a couple of points for authenticity, when they use potatoes instead of rutabagas (it's a Michigan thing, what can I say?) but it's still pretty tasty...

Burnt Toast

Toast-Cherry Creek
Me and the Mrs. have heard a lot about this place, and always looking for cool places to go for a Sunday morning breakfast we thought we'd give it a try.  We were  very disappointed...The food was good enough...Both of us had the  Chai Tea infused French Toast which was very tasty, but we felt it was a little pricey.  The Mrs. who is a coffee fanatic made the comment that at a place who's claim to fame is their breakfast you would expect their coffee to be outstanding she rated it  just average (trust me this woman knows her coffee).  Also the service , or at least our server was just plain lousy.  There are better places to go for  less money. It definitely was not worth making a special trip for.

Upscale Dining

Morton's Steak House-Wynkoop Denver
I was in the mood for a really good Steak the other night.  I love going to true Steak Houses, Went to Morton's for the First time (and it won't be the last).  Everything was  top notch, The Service was impeccable,. started off with the Bacon wrapped Shrimp with apricot chutney for an appetizer, the Bone in Rib Eye was just top choice and cooked to perfection...The steamed Asparagus was as big as the cigars I smoke...All very tasty.  I especially was impressed by the waitress squeegeeing the breadcrumbs of my table nice touch.  This is definitely high falutin and it ain't cheap but just one bite and it will be well wotrth the money.
